In April in 2016 after few months of hard work he finished Knife Fighting and Defence Instructor Course and Civilian Krav Maga Instructor Course.

After the passing of the late founder of the club, Krzysztof 'Kris' Szczepanski in September 2018, Sonny has taken over the responsibility to carry forward the legacy of his best friend and now is he the Chief Instructor of 123 Krav Maga.

Andy discovered Krav Maga whilst living and working in the US after many years spent training

in traditional martial arts including Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu. He was immediately impressed by Krav Maga’s highly-effective self-defence and combative techniques and the clear logic underlying the system.

On returning to the UK in 2012 Andy continued to train Krav Maga under Nick Maison and 123 Krav Maga Founder, Kris Szczepanski. After several years of dedicated training, Andy was awarded his Instructor diploma by Master Tomasz Adamczyk in 2018. He is also a qualified Kids Krav Maga instructor and a rugby coach.

  • Defender Level 5

  • BJJ Practitioner

Grant has always had a passion for self-defence and martial arts, he started his journey training in Karate and Judo as a teenager, along with Greco Roman wrestling which was mandatory in his school. He then trained on and off in kickboxing (K1 rules) through his twenties but never losing the passion for martial arts.

Grant found 123 Krav Maga whilst looking for a self-defence school and immediately fell for the style, practicality and efficiency of the system. Krav Maga offered all the best aspects of a practical martial art with the added benefit of tactical thinking and real pressure tested techniques. Grant has now been training for almost 5 years in Krav Maga and also training in Brazilian Jujitsu (BJJ Gi and NoGi) and wrestling.

His passion and drive for training have been noticed, thus he has been promoted to the Assistant Instructor Team. He has been a valuable part of the 123 Krav Maga team, bringing with him his experience and skills into the club's training program in order to help enhance the training system at 123 Krav Maga.
